What is the difference between orthotics and arch supports?
An “orthotic” (orthosis, -es) is a correcting or straightening device to treat a specific foot condition or deformity. An orthotic device is custom made according to an individual model of the foot by medical professionals such as podiatrists, physical therapists, and certified pedorthists according to a prescription in order to provide stability or cushioning and to prevent abnormal motions. Good Feet arch supports are pre-fabricated to help align the four major arches of the foot. These arch supports align the ideal foot structure rather than support the individual imbalance. Good Feet has produced over 20 different shapes of arch supports to provide comfort, balance, and support to the majority of the people.
